Teacher Only Day 2015

Today was our first personalised learning PD session as a whole staff. We started the morning by sharing a short YouTube clip on Ngatea Primary School (please see below). Then discussed the structure of how we would run our personalised learning PD this year, including labs of change (keeping it small and simple).





We then shared some more photos of examples of personalised learning from a number of different NZ schools. After that we split into groups to discuss what personalised learning means to us as a staff and what it could look like at Matarau School. We then completed a Cort Thinking Brainstorm in our groups to help organise our ideas, before sharing back with the rest of the staff.

Last, but not least we completed a cut and paste activity to pull apart the differences (and similarities) between personalised learning, individualised learning and differentiation. We used this template to support us.
